TF Consulting, LLC, its affiliates including Brightwood Research, and authorized partners (collectively the “TF Consulting” or “we,” “us,” or “our”) assists clients with Consumer Insights work, including qualitative and quantitative user research. TF Consulting values your privacy. We have established this Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) to explain how we collect, use and share Personal Information (as defined below). 

1.         Protecting Your Personal Information 

TF Consulting takes industry­-standard measures, including the implementation and maintenance of physical, electronic, and managerial procedures, in an effort to assure the security, integrity, and accuracy of all Personal Information that we collect. Our efforts include procedures designed to avoid unauthorized access, alteration, misuse or disclosure of Personal Information. Although we make good faith efforts to maintain the security of such Personal Information, we cannot guarantee that it will remain free from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, or alteration. Further, while we work hard to ensure the integrity and security of our network and systems, we cannot guarantee that our security measures will prevent “hackers” or other unauthorized persons from illegally accessing or obtaining this information. Therefore, although we use industry standard practices to protect your privacy, we do not promise, and you should not expect, that your Personal Information will always remain private.  

2.    Information We Collect and How It is Collected

In describing our collection, use, and sharing of information in this Policy, we refer to our collection and use of “Personal Information.” “Personal Information,” as used in this Policy, is any information that directly or indirectly identifies an individual, including but not limited to their first and last name, mailing address, email address or other online contact information, IP address or telephone number.  We collect Personal Information, as well as non­-personal identifiable information through our websites, https://www.brightwoodresearch.com, https://www.tamrafeldman.com/ (including through mobile devices and applications), and via email, sign-up list(s), surveys to capture interest in research opportunities, in person or virtual interactions, or otherwise.  

Participation in any TF Consulting research project is voluntary and you may opt out of them, at any time. All Personal Information shall be treated confidentially, and will only be utilized for TF Consulting’s research purposes.  

We also collect information through “browser cookies” and web beacons, which helps enhance user experience. A cookie is a small data file that is transferred to an Internet user’s browser by a web server. Cookies are designed to store basic information, such as a user’s preferences. The information that we collect with these automated methods may include, for example but not by way of limitation, your IP address, information about how you interact with advertisements and other content, browser type, system type, device type, the content and pages that you access, the date and time you view pages, and the page from which you navigated to https://www.brightwoodresearch.com or https://www.tamrafeldman.com/.

3.  Confidentiality/Exceptions

TF Consulting will not knowingly reveal personal information that is provided by you, our visitors and/or research study participants to any third parties or end-users, except as provided in this Privacy Policy, or when requested to do so by a governmental agency having jurisdiction, or by a court of competent jurisdiction or other operation of law, or when we believe that disclosure is necessary or appropriate to prevent physical harm or financial loss in connection with an investigation of suspected or actual illegal activity. TF Consulting reserves the right to securely transfer any information we have about you in the event we sell or transfer all or a portion of our business or assets. Should such a sale or transfer occur, we will use reasonable efforts to direct the transferee to use the personal information you have provided through this website/mobile application in a manner that is consistent with this Privacy Policy. 

4.  Questionnaires and Surveys

When completing an online or in-person survey or questionnaire for TF Consulting, you may be asked about your opinions, attitudes, interests, preferences, insight, purchasing habits, online activities and other topics. You agree that any information provided will become the property of and may be retained by TF Consulting.  Your name and photograph will never be shared or posted publicly without Your permission.  To be removed from TF Consulting’s contact list, at any time, you can contact us anytime as provided below.  

5. Children Under 13 Years of Age

We do not knowingly seek or collect Personal Information from users under the age of 14. If we determine we have inadvertently gathered Personal Information from a user under the age of 14, we will promptly delete any and all such Personal Information from our records. The Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 and other laws have been established to protect the privacy of minors and we abide by all federal and state laws and guidelines regarding youth privacy.  If you believe we have collected personal information from children under the age of 14, please notify TF Consulting immediately.  Anyone under the age of 18 will require parental consent, and approval of TF Consulting, to participate in a survey or research study.  

6.  “Phishing Warning”

TF Consulting does not and will not at any time request any personal information via e-mail, nor will we include a link to an account login page in any e-mail. If you receive an e-mail requesting any personal information purporting to be from TF Consulting, such as requesting your social security number, your credit card or bank information, DO NOT RESPOND OR PROVIDE SUCH PERSONAL INFORMATION.  If you receive an e-mail requesting any of this information, it is likely that you have received an attempted theft of your identity commonly called “phishing.” Please bring any such circumstances to our attention immediately.  

7. Third Party Links

https://www.brightwoodresearch.com, https://www.tamrafeldman.com/, and emails, texts or other communications from TF Consulting may contain links to third-party websites or applications that are not subject to this Policy.  We encourage you to read their privacy policy before providing them with any personal information.  When TF Consulting utilizes third-party services, such as Surveymonkey, you consent that TF Consulting’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Use will continue to apply, as may those of the third-party website or application.  

8. California Privacy Rights

In addition to the rights set forth in this Policy, California Civil Code Section 1798.83 permits California residents who are individual consumers or users of https://www.brightwoodresearch.com or https://www.tamrafeldman.com/ to request certain information regarding its disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. 9. International Users

If you are using this website from the European Union, or any other region with laws governing data collection and use that may differ from United States law, please note that you are transferring your personal data outside of those jurisdictions to the United States. GDPR Notice: The United States does not have an adequacy decision from the European Commission, which means that the Commission has not determined that the laws of the United States provide adequate protection for personal information under the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”).  Although the laws of the United States do not provide legal protection that is equivalent to European Union data protection laws, we safeguard your personal information by treating it in accordance with this GDPR Notice.  TF Consulting takes appropriate steps to protect your privacy and implement reasonable security measures to protect your personal information in storage. 10. Changes and Updates to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time, at our sole discretion. If we do, we will update the “effective date” at the top of the Policy. If we make material changes to how we use Personal Information, we will attempt to notify you of the change and to give you the opportunity to exercise choice as to how your Personal Information is used.
